‘Ranabaali’ crosses ₹73 crore worldwide, but can it sustain its run?

Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s Ranabaali has crossed an estimated ₹73.65 crore in worldwide gross collections in its first ten days, giving the period drama a respectable start while raising questions about its staying power.

The film collected approximately ₹2.90 crore in India net collections on Sunday, October 25, marginally higher than Saturday’s ₹2.80 crore, according to box-office tracking estimates. Its cumulative domestic net collections reached about ₹53 crore.

Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the film is set against the backdrop of the Madras Famine of 1876–78 in the Rayalaseema region. It follows a horseman who leads a local uprising against British colonial rule.

The second-weekend improvement offers some encouragement, but daily collections remain below opening-week levels. The coming weekdays will be crucial in determining whether the film can maintain audience interest.

For distributors, exhibitors and the lead actors, the key question is no longer simply how strongly the film opened, but how long it can hold its ground in theatres.
