Goud had travelled to Ukraine seeking better earnings to support his two daughters’ education and his mother’s medical expenses. His wife, Bhargavi, sought government assistance to bring his remains home.
Officials coordinated efforts to facilitate the repatriation. His remains are expected to reach Hyderabad before being taken to Hasanabad village for the last rites.
The tragedy underscores the risks faced by Indians who travel abroad in search of better livelihoods.
