Tollywood’s latest talking point is not a film announcement or a box-office milestone, but a sharply critical review from an unexpected quarter. Gautam Ghattamaneni, son of superstar Mahesh Babu, has given Nani-starrer The Paradise just one star on Letterboxd, describing his overall experience as disappointing.

Gautam reportedly appreciated the cinematography and the performances in emotional scenes but criticised the editing and the film’s overall execution. His assessment has attracted attention because he is willing to express his personal opinion about films despite belonging to one of Telugu cinema’s most prominent families.

His earlier ratings, including a particularly low score for Yash’s Toxic, have also drawn interest from film followers.

Gautam’s review is not a verdict on the film’s commercial prospects, but it has revived a familiar debate: should celebrity children be judged by the same standards as ordinary moviegoers when they publicly criticise films made by their contemporaries?
