Exploring AP just got easier, one QR scan at a time

Travelling through Andhra Pradesh could soon become a lot less confusing for visitors unfamiliar with local languages. A new AI-powered service, NiVU AI, allows tourists to access destination information in more than 130 languages simply by scanning a QR code.

Unveiled by tourism minister Kandula Durgesh at an international tourism summit in Seville, Spain, the initiative aims to make travel information easier to access without requiring visitors to download an app or pay a fee.

The service has been piloted at Sri Panakala Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Mangalagiri, with plans to extend it to other tourist and pilgrimage destinations.

For a family visiting an unfamiliar temple town or a traveller exploring Andhra Pradesh's beaches and hill stations, such a simple digital guide could make a real difference. The next step is to ensure that the information remains accurate, useful and easily accessible at popular destinations.
