Karthika Deepotsavam: arrangements begin for the festival of lamps

Preparations have started for the Karthika Deepotsavam at Tirumala, when thousands of ghee lamps are lit across the temple premises and the four Mada streets.

Engineering staff are putting up special lighting and floral decorations, while the annaprasadam wing will increase food distribution to handle the expected rush.

Officials said the festival will be streamed live on the devotional channel for devotees who cannot travel to the hills.
