Hyderabad Metro phase-two corridors get final approval

The second phase of the Hyderabad Metro has received final approval, clearing the way for construction on three new corridors.

The new lines will connect the airport and several fast-growing suburbs with the current network. Officials said tenders will be floated within two months.

Once complete, the expansion is expected to serve several lakh additional passengers every day.
